CamFPD closes investment round
Cambridge, UK, December 2006 - CamFPD, the Cambridge University spin-out developing revolutionary new display and imaging technology based on WedgeŽ optics, is pleased to announce the closure of a significant round of equity financing. The investors are led by Mike Waters, a former Philips executive who recently led the European expansion of Taiwan's Delta Electronics. The investment will finance the expansion of the Company to serve its existing multinational customers better, and to expand its WedgeŽ technology development programmes into new applications. Quintus Travis, Chief Executive of CamFPD, said today: "We are delighted with the successful completion of this investment round. CamFPD is shifting its focus away from research to exploitation of WedgeŽ technology in various applications. This funding will secure our progress through to product launch in several of these areas." Mike Waters added "WedgeŽ technology has compelling promise for a range of markets in displays and imaging. CamFPD has an impressive roster of international customers for its technology, and unusually well-protected intellectual property. Prospects for the Company have never been better." | ||
