Cambridge, UK, 20 February, 2003 - Cambridge based display technology company Cambridge 3D Display Ltd announced today that it would be changing its name to Cambridge Flat Projection Displays Ltd.

Company director Quintus Travis commented, "We chose to make this change to reflect our recent successes in developing the Wedge® display technology, and the much broader range of applications enabled by Wedge® optics. We felt that the 3D name no longer adequately encompassed the core activities of the company."

In addition to its main focus on Wedge® technology, the company continues to develop its three dimensional display technology, Flat 3D, which involves reflection of a three dimensional image from a flat panel.
